It’s not about raw vs dry — it’s about ingredients and processing
The pet food market has been a mess for years.
It’s getting better, but there’s still a lot of rubbish out there.
People argue about raw vs kibble vs cooked, but the format isn’t the most important thing.
What really matters is the ingredients and how the food is processed.
Good ingredients and sensible processing make good food, whatever format you feed.
That’s how we choose the products we sell, and if we wouldn’t feed it to our own pets, we don’t sell it.
Raw vs Cooked vs Dry — What’s Best?
A simple guide explaining ingredients, processing and choosing the right food.

Why I started Jingo Pets
Meet Georgia - Jingo Pets Founder
I started Jingo Pets because I believe pet food, nutrition and pet care should be better. Too much of the pet industry is driven by marketing and trends, and people often end up feeding poorly without realising.
I’m passionate about helping people understand their pets, keep them healthy and fed properly. I’m very open minded when it comes to feeding — raw, cooked, cold pressed or dry — because the best diet is the one that works for the individual pet.
I lean towards a more natural and holistic approach where possible, including nutrition and supportive supplements, but I’m also balanced and believe in proper veterinary care when it’s needed.
I don’t just sell products, I try to help people make better decisions and understand what they’re feeding and using. Everything we sell is something I would happily use for my own pets.

Raw, cooked and natural wet food all have their place — it just depends on your pet and your lifestyle.
Raw feeding Unprocessed, uncooked frozen food made from meat, bone and offal. A natural, species-appropriate diet that many dogs and cats thrive on.
Gently cooked food Fresh food made with proper ingredients that has been gently cooked for easy storage and convenience. Great for sensitive dogs or owners who prefer not to feed raw.
Cold pressed food A dry food made using low temperatures rather than high heat extrusion. Minimally processed and digests just as gentle as raw. All the benefits of raw food in a convenient dry format.
Pro Tip: There’s no single right way to feed.
You can mix raw, cooked, wet or cold pressed however it suits your dog and your routine — raw at night, dry in the morning, cooked when travelling, or use raw or wet as a topper.
No Fillers / No Artificial Additives / Proper Ingredients / Species Appropriate Diets / Feed Better, Feed Natural

Meet Jingo
Jingo is more than just our dog — he’s the reason our business exists in the way it does today. He challenged everything we thought we knew about feeding and taught us that there is no one size fits all when it comes to pet food.

Dogs with allergies or sensitivities often do better on simpler diets with fewer ingredients and different protein sources. Many owners use single protein raw foods, novel proteins such as duck or rabbit, or gentle cooked or cold pressed foods for sensitive dogs.
Skin issues, ears, licking paws and digestive problems can often be linked to diet, so changing food can often make a big difference. If you're not sure where to start, we’re always happy to help you choose a suitable food.
